The Culture at Rocky Mountain High School is greatly influenced by the Lobo way. The Lobo is RMHS’s mascot which is the Spanish name for a timber wolf. The Lobo is a strong mascot that protects its pack and has great courage and loyalty. Students are filled with enthusiasm about the Lobo way and hold themselves and others accountable for living up to these expectations. Rocky Mountain High School focuses on integrity, partnership, and involvement within their students. The school believes that students need to hold themselves accountable and become involved in their school with the many options they offer. RMHS also believes that working together is a large part of the learning experience. It is through collaboration that learning becomes a reality.

Students at Rocky are engaged in their learning and are always looking for new ways to expand it. Students are encouraged to join a large variety of clubs as well as creating their own. These clubs take place during lunch hours and give students the opportunity to work with like-minded students that share the same interests. These clubs range from hobbies to honor societies. These students are urged to join clubs and to be involved in their school. With all the variety of clubs, there is a club for everyone.
The walls in RMHS are filled with posters and happenings that make students aware of things such as football games and club meetings. RMHS offers a variety of sports for students to participate in including football, softball, and volleyball.
Students are also given many school resources. RMHS has counselors available for all students for many needs. They can leave class to get support from these staff members. The school also offers a college and career center where students can learn more about what happens after high school. They can receive help from staff about college applications and essay writing.

Students are required to sign a piece of paper that says that they have read and understand the student code of conduct.
Students at RMHS have the privilege of an open campus. This means that students can come and go as they please. Having an open campus passes on the responsibility to the students to be timely and responsible. Sports and clubs are able a way to hold students accountable for their behaviors. Students must uphold good academic standing in order to participate. If these expectations are not met, students will have to bring their grades back up before returning to their sport.
